There was, of course, the wood-fired pizza, and the obligatory cannoli. Several Italo-American organizations had information booths. But overall, there was very little "Italian" about this Italian festival. The famous Waltham festivals are becoming homogenized—all offering the same crafts and food. I spied no Italian culinary specialties, which had always tempted us in the past, before Covid. But everyone had a good time, just the same—especially the kids in the inflatable bounce houses and slides. The last photo shows a parent buying tickets for the same.
